Mission & Objectives

The platform establishes an active, voluntary university blood donation community, ensuring a robust and timely supply for patients at Jazan University Hospital through:

  • Streamlined campaign appointments to prevent crowding and waiting times.
  • Automated calculation of clinical donation intervals (90 days for males, 120 days for females) to safeguard donor wellness.
  • Rapid preliminary donor matching based on blood type compatibility and campus proximity for acute clinical shortages.
  • Strict clinical governance requiring certified medical review before emergency donor alerts are dispatched.

The Approved Three-Role Model

Built strictly in compliance with the approved Use Case and DFD Level 1 specifications, the system operates across three core functional roles:

University Donor (DONOR)
Jazan University students and staff. Browse campaigns, book appointment slots, manage eligibility, and respond to emergency appeals.
Hospital & Campaign Staff (HOSPITAL_STAFF)
Create campaigns, configure slot capacities, initiate emergency requests, and monitor registrations and donor response metrics.
Healthcare Professional (HEALTHCARE_PROFESSIONAL)
Certified medical reviewers exclusively authorized to clinically review, approve, or decline emergency blood requests.
Clinical Disclaimer & Boundary Notice

Medad Hayah is an academic university graduation project designed to demonstrate advanced healthcare coordination workflows. The platform facilitates logistical coordination and preliminary matching. It does not provide clinical diagnoses or replace laboratory blood compatibility testing (cross-matching) and physical clinical screening, which are conducted directly by qualified medical personnel at Jazan University Hospital.
